Historic Building Renovation

Lakeside Engineering performed a building condition assessment of the Historic Arcade Building located at 83 Fall Street, in Downtown Seneca Falls, NY to determine the condition of the building, conceptual drawing layout, and cost estimate in order to determine if it was feasible to renovate the building to a mixed use occupancy.  Once it was determined that it was feasible to convert the building to residential and commercial space, a detailed code review was performed using the Building Code of New York, Chapter 13 (Performance Compliance Method) to determine the life safety requirements.

Site Development

The Sauder's Store, Inc., located in Seneca Falls, NY is in the process of adding a 35,000 square foot addition to their store.  The new addition requires an expansion of their existing parking lot, new entrance, underground utilities, and site lighting.  Since the project disturbs more than 1-acre of land, a Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP) is required for this project including a New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (NYS DEC) permit.  Lakeside Engineering provided the complete site plan design, grading plan, the SWPPP, and detention pond design.
